The Acer Swift 3 Athlon SF314-41 14-inch Thin and Light Notebook can handle basic tasks such as browsing, watching online content, light programming, and documentation work. This Notebook performs this regular task with ease and its for light to moderate user. The display is an anti-glare panel so working or reading on it for long hours is not too painful to the eyes.

Due to the work-from-home situation, I have been using it daily for 10-12 hours for my online classes, watching content, browsing, and some documenting.

Acer claims “up to 10 hours” of battery life, which is true, only when you simply just do reading or typing. If you browse the internet, watch online content or do some programming, it will last you about 6-7 hours on a single charge (I don’t know why other people here have reviewed it as getting poor battery life, maybe due to defective units). The battery life is really good, at least for me being a light to moderate user.

The thing which I liked most about this laptop is that it doesn’t heat up a lot or make noise when you do some multitasking. The fan noise is almost zero even if you are browsing (with multiple tabs open), watching content, programming, all at once. So, Acer has done a good job in optimizing the OS despite the low-end AMD Athlon on this one.

The speakers are a big con for this laptop. They are just fine for the Windows sounds, but not meant for media consumption. Even at 100%, it will be clear and audible only when you are in a relatively quiet environment. For watching videos and listening to music, you will require headphones or an external speaker most of the time.

But, it is NOT FOR GAMING. It can run games, but it is not meant to. So, gaming may cause heating and noise, and consume higher battery power.

Overall, Acer Swift 3 Athlon SF314-41 14-inch Thin and Light Notebook is not very sleek, but lightweight. And it gets all jobs done without any hassles.
